Going Somewhere - Animated Title Card

This is a the animated title card for my new movie, Going Somewhere:

Going Somewhere recombines scientific documentaries from NASA's space program with science fictional movies to reveal the underlying narrative myths of these stories:

  • the fantasy of transcendence

  • the fantasy of the conqueror and their conquests

  • the allegory of imprisonment, punishment and revenge
  • Going Somewhere is a serial exploration of these ideas, broken into clear Episodes. It is composed from both animated text and carefully masked glitches of stars in motion.
