Silencing the Opposition

Here are three different stories about how those in political power are seeking to silence their opposition--any idea disapproved of may find itself on the wrong side of things.

BBC News reports on new fines for broadcasters.

Wired reports on a new bill to extend punishments for P2P trading to software makers.

The Washington Times has a story on an atttempt to ban ads for Michael Moore's documentary.

Each of these stories is tracking the same trend towards consolidation and silence. The struggle against dissent in the US is continuing to grow. Depening on the election results later this year, things will either (possibly) get batter or continue to grow worse....
